dc.description.abstractThe purpuse of this report is to provide insight into the currento forces driving change in the U.S. market for nontraditional agricultural products and to identify the primary opportunities and constraints to prospective Caribbean exporters. The first section provides an overview of trends in basic consumption and trade in non-tradicional products in the U.S. market. The second section overviews recent trends in the demographics, technology and institutional characteristics of the U.S. food market in general and the non-traditional products sub-sector in particular. The final section synthesizes this information and discussees potential market oppportunities and identifies the critical sucess factors for Caribbean non-traditional exports.es
