Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en República Dominicana durante el 2011, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como financiamiento, investigación, tecnología, políticas públicas, agronegocios, comercio, exportaciones, agricultura orgánica, cooperación entre el sector público y privado, asistencia técnica, sanidad e inocuidad, cuarentenas, educación agrícola, producción de arroz, por medio del sistema intensivo del cultivo de arroz y control de enfermedades, como la influenza aviar y humana. The main activities carried out by the Institute in the Dominican Republic during 2011 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as financing, research, technology, public policies, agribusiness, trade, exports, organic agriculture, cooperation between the public and private sector, technical assistance, health and safety, quarantines, agricultural education, rice production, through the intensive system of rice cultivation and disease control, such as avian and human influenza.
