Six years of a successful partnership: 1995-2001
Abstract
This report presents a brief and consolidated description of the activities implemented by IICA in Canada during the last six years. The successful partnership approach developed by IICA-Canada, during this period, reflects, in many ways, the results of the continuous consultation process started in 1995 within Canada and IICA. This consultation process forms the bases of the solid strategic planning process underway by IICA-Canada. It demonstrates that IICA is committed to following through on its promise of gathering new partners and adding political, cultural and economic values to Canada, particularly in strategic areas such as food safety in international agricultural trade, promoting networks and strategic alliances and supporting Canada's efforts on agricultural information and communication technology initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) countries.
